Stunt Siva is a happy man these days. The well-known action choreographer has worked in multiple languages, all south Indian languages, besides appearing in a Bollywood as well as a French film. His dream of acting in a full-length role has finally come good with Vijay Milton’s Goli Soda 2, where he essays a menacing villain as the leader of an upper caste people.

“Though I was busy as a stunt master, acting in front of camera was there somewhere in the back of my mind. I was the stunt director for Vettayaadu Vilayaadu.  One day, the actor, who was part of the intro scene with Kamal Haasan, did not turn up. As a stunt choreographer, I was just showing my boys as how the shot can be conceived. Gautham saw me and immediately said, ‘you are good. Why don’t you act in the scene’? Since, acting was my passion as well, I immediately jumped at the offer.”

Siva was shuttling between Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam flicks when his friend Vijay Milton called him for GS2. “Without knowing the reason, I just went and met him, which is when he gave the pleasant shock that I am part of his GS2. Thanks to him for giving me the full-length villain character. I have been getting calls appreciating my work.  Now, I have got an offer for acting in a big banner as the main villain. It is an extraordinary script with a lot of scope for acting.”     —AS
