Young actor Shirish of Metro fame, who is awaiting his next Raja Ranguski—a crime thriller in which he essays a cop—was pleasantly thrilled when he got a midnight call recently from none other than Simbu.
Says Shirish, “I got a surprise call from Simbu sir on Saturday midnight and for a moment, I was perplexed. He was so cool and said, ‘I am happy about the outcome of Naa Yaarunnu Theriyuma number and wanted to just share it with you. When I want to appreciate someone, I do it at once without taking time so that the same feel is communicated.’ I was really excited.”
STR has rendered the song ‘Naa Yaarunnu Theriyuma’ in Yuvan Shankar Raja’s composition. Released recently, the song went viral on social media and was received well by audiences. STR had even called Yuvan Shankar Raja sir and heaped laurels on his music, he added. “The song has become super hit and hence the film would also be a big hit, he wished.”
Shirish plays the role of a beat police officer named Raja, and Chandini Tamilarasan essays a writer, an ardent fan of noted writer Sujatha and calls herself Ranguski (the pen name of Sujatha). Dharani Dharan of Burma fame directs the film.
