After a long film career, Kamal Haasan has had resurgence with newfound success in television through Big Boss. Perhaps encouraged by this, his daughter Shruti Haasan too has agreed to host a first of its kind talk show on Sun TV satellite channel, which will be aired soon.

The details of Shruti's show are kept under wraps for now. Reliable sources confirm that the ravishing actress who has two films on hand  - the long pending Sabaash Naidu in her dad's direction and a B'town movie with Vidyut Jamwal in Mahesh Manjrekar's direction - has already signed to anchor the show and the shoot has also begun. A whopping remuneration has been paid to lure the bubbly girl, the source adds.

Reports suggest Tamannah and a few others were considered to host the show, but since the channel was particular about a Tamil-speaking star, it has fallen on Shruti. Also, yet another advantage is that since Shruti is a singer and musician as well and she is used to perform before live audiences, the channel hopes that she will push the envelope and host the show in a spirited manner.

Meanwhile, she is excited to return to her first love - music! Recently, she did her first live stage performance in London at NED hotel performing her original work to a packed house. Talking about her first performance in London, Shruti says, "It feels incredible to be back on stage performing. I have done a few shows in the last year but now the effort is to do more music focused gigs internationally, London being the starting point. I have been working on a significant and distinctive number of collaborations along with my original singles".

Apparently, when Ulaganayagan stepped into the world of chinna thirai, it was a big surprise to everyone and DC was the first broke the news. With his unique style of presentation and approach, Kamal made the show a huge hit in its first season. Kamal himself had said then, 'I am happy to be hosting the BB show and it is one of his biggest successes in recent times'.

Having turned a politician before beginning BB season 2, it looks like the Nayagan star is using the platform to propel his political aspirations also.
