At a time when horror films are ruling the roost in Tamil cinema — and devotional movies have taken the backseat,  a film titled Markku Mugappair Sri Kanaga Durga is soon hitting cinema halls.

The movie stars child artiste-turned-heroine Divya Nagesh of Arundhati fame in the lead, and  is allegedly based on some real-life incidents that happened in the city.

While Magi and Saravanan play the lead heroes, Jhanvika is the second heroine of the movie. Chandra Kannayan, who has acted in films like Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kaanom, directs the movie. Jayapal Swamigal, who will bankroll the film, has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues, and the lyrics for the movie.
