Prateik Babbar to play antagonist to Rajinikanth

Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar, son of late actress Smitha Patil and Raj Babbar, has been brought on board as the lead baddie who will be locking horns with Rajinikanth in the recently announced Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss.
The actor himself has revealed this in an interview and said that it was his negative role in Baaghi 2 that fetched this coveted role. Nayan will be seen romancing Rajini who essays a cop.
Prateik has said it is such a dream come true to have bagged the project. “I can’t wait to meet and commence shooting with Rajinikanth sir and Murugadoss sir,” Prateik had reportedly said.
The shooting of Darbar, bankrolled by Lyca Productions, is progressing at a brisk pace in and around Mumbai. Anirudh will be composing the music and Santhosh Sivan will be cranking the camera.
Rajini will be returning to Chennai to cast his vote on April 18 elections for the Lok Sabha.
