Bodhai Yeri is not only about alcoholism

It has been a season of short filmmakers trying their hands on the silver screen. Chandru, a known name in short film circuit, has come out with a bilingual thriller in Tamil and Telugu titled Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari in K’town.

Talking about his film Chandru says, “The title Bodhai….. might suggest that it is movie about alcoholism addiction, but the film is not about it. ‘Bodhai’ does not mean only drinks. It can be addiction to anything. The story happens in a day’s time.”

Elaborating, he said, “The lead protagonist played by Dheeraj attends the bachelors’ party the previous day to his wedding. There he gets into a predicament and the conflict starts. Whether and how he came out of his problem forms the rest narrated with a lot of unpredictable twists and turns.”   

The film has 35 artistes including Dheeraj, Radha Ravi, Charle, Mime Gopi, Dushara, Pradaini, Meera Mithun and the director claims that everyone has scope in the story to play important characters. Produced by Sreenithi Sagar, the movie has music by KP and cinematography is handled by ace Balasubramaniem.
