Kolly stars contribute to Kerala distress relief fund

Like how Telugu and Malayalam actors lent a supportive hand during the Chennai Floods in 2015, it is the turn of Tamil actors to reciprocate the gesture as Kerala is devastated by heavy rains, floods and landslides.

Besides M’town stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal, it started with Tamil actors Suriya and Karthi and later Kamal who donated generously.  Now, Vishal has contributed Rs 10 lakh, Prakash Raj Rs 5 lakh, actress Rohini Rs 2 lakh while a few others like actor Abhi Saravanan have sent a truckload of relief materials to various affected places in ‘God's Own Country.’  Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has donated Rs 25 lakh.

Meanwhile, actor Karthi handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes) president Mohanlal, which was committed earlier by his brother Suriya towards its 25th year celebrations.
