“Everyone has a hero in him/her and it is the duty of the parents to bring that out in their wards. That's what my film Hero speaks about. It deals with education and imparts a message,” says Sivakarthikeyan.

“I am a huge fan of superhero subjects and I never dreamt of being part of one, it is really exciting,” he said at the audio launch of Hero.

Directed by PS Mithran, the fantasy superhero film has Kalyani Priyadarshan, daughter of ace filmy couple Priyadarshan and Lissy, debuting as his romantic pair.

While Arjun essays a crucial role, B'town actor Abhay Deol will be seen as the antagonist. Yuvan Shankar Raja's music is touted to be a high point in the film.

“Ace filmmakers have sown the seeds for such grandeur,” says Siva. “There are two young writers who are associated with the movie. I wish more writers would come to K'Town, so that our directors would get stories of different dimensions.”

Talking of Arjun, he says, “Like Raj Kiran Sir and SathyarajSir, I am a fan of Arjun sir. I have watched his Jai Hind several times. It was an enriching experience working with him.”

His advice: “Don't think of the haters; rather, pay attention to those who care about you.
