Thambi: Karthi does it for Jo and bro

We have seen many a father-son duo sharing screen space like Sivaji & Prabhu and Karthik & Gautham Karthik. But, for the first time in the history of K'town, a hero will be teaming up with his actress sister-in-law in a Tamil movie. And it is none other than Karthi, brother of Suriya.

Karthi, basking in the success of his last outing Kaithi and his sis-in-law Jyotika will be playing siblings in a film, which has also got a title now. Directed by Jeetu Joseph, the movie is titled Thambi.

One may recall Thambi was the title of Madhavan's hit film, which catapulted him as an action hero. The new Thambi, revolving around the bond between siblings, is said to be a family thriller. Sathyaraj will be seen portraying the father of Jo and Karthi, while Jo is elder sister to Karthi.

Nikhila Vimal essays Karthi's love interest. Suriya unveiled the first look and title of the film on his social media handle, garnering attention. The movie bankrolled by Viacom18 Studios and Parallel Minds has 96 fame Govind Vasantha's music.
