Sakshi Agarwal, who was hitherto seen in glam roles, has for the first time bagged a woman-centric flick. It was thanks to her Bigg Boss stint that she got this meaty role.

Says director Sathya of Kaliru fame, “Sakshi had displayed a great level of mental strength in Big Boss. Her power to withstand the emotional onslaughts in BB made me decide to cast her asthe lead in this film. My heroine is very typical in nature, hard and strong.  Sakshi was initially reluctant to take it up. But as a writer and director, I was a hundred per cent convinced that she wouldpull it off.”

Sakshi, on her part, tells DC, “It is a political crime thriller. I portray a journalist and it is a bold and strong role. It has a lot of action sequences too. Initially, I was apprehensive. However, Sathya found me very apt and the way he put forth his points was very convincing, and made me sign on the dotted line.”

“I am attending silambam classes with Pandian master”, she says, talking about her preparations for the stunt scenes. “I regularly hit the gym to keep fit. It is a challenging role and I am really excited. The film's theme is very relatable. You will get to see me more in meaningful roles in future,” she signs off, flashing her beautiful smile.

There are two other characters of significance in the film, and the makers are in the process of finalizing a couple of popular artistes for them.
