Child actress turned heroine Manishajith is eagerly awaiting her upcoming flick Kadala Poda Ponnu Venum, which created a flutter for sleazy undertones in the first look poster. Its director Anandarajan, a former assistant to Samuthirakani and CJ Bhaskar, clarified that KPPV is a clean romantic comedy and there’s no cheap or vulgar content and the poster was meant to raise curiosity.

Talking to DC, Manisha, who did 40 films as a child artiste, says, “I am happy with the way my career is shaping up. My first film featuring me in female lead role was Nanbargal Kavanathirku and subsequent Kamarkattu were received well.

Kadala…has a different theme and director Anand sir has given a distinctive treatment. He is completely focused and determined about what he wants and get the best out of us.”

On her co-star Azhar, who is a popular TV anchor, she says, “It was completely fun filled as he would continuously crack jokes and keep you in splits.” The actress also says she is looking forward to Aandal in which  she has a meaty role.
