Pancharaaksharam is a medley of genres

Madhushalini of Avan Ivan fame, who we saw in an interesting role in Kamal Haasan’s Thoongavanam, is back after a gap, this time in a supernatural adventure-psychological thriller titled Pancharaaksharam.

As the title suggests, the film, directed by Balaji Vairamuthu, revolves around five individuals, whose characters are based on the fiveelements innature.

Santhosh Prathap, Gokul, Ashwin Jerome, Madhu and Sana Altaf. Seeman, Raja and Jeeva Ravi will be seen asother important characters.

Says Balaji, giving a glimpse of the story, "Aidhan is (fire) a passionate musician, Sameera (air) an intellectual writer, Jeevika (water) a noble humanitarian, Dharna (earth) an aspiring racer and Dishyanth (sky) a spirited explorer.  These characters become acquainted with each other and start bonding. When they plan a trip together, things go well until Sameera suggests a game out of a book. What starts out as impracticality and coincidence soon becomes a nightmarish turmoil, putting everyone in unbelievable shock."
