Exposing the politics in sports

After Vijay’s Bigil, which was on women footballers, yet another movie - Jada - featuring Kathir of Pariyerum Perumal fame in the lead with Yogi Babu essaying a vital character is to hit the marquee on December 6.

Says its director Kumaran, “The film is totally different from Bigil, although it deals with the game of football and set in north Chennai.  It also speaks of the politics surrounding the sport. There are several highly talented footballers who have been neglected for some reasons. Jada deals with one such ignored footballer and what happens when he is caught in the vicious cycle. I have talked about 7-on-7 football, which has not been touched so far. The combo of Yogi Babu and Kathir will be a laugh riot.”
