Rajkumar goes from cinema to telly
Rajkumar says that his mega series Magarasi is not the usual tearjerker that you often see in television mega serials.
SP Rajkumar, who has worked with the likes of Prabhu, Thalapathy Vijay in films like Ponmanam and Sura and was the backbone of Vadivelu’s comedy track for more than 100 films, is making his foray into Chinna Thirai.
Rajkumar says that his mega series Magarasi is not the usual tearjerker that you often see in television mega serials. “For the first time in TV soap, I have canned several scenes of a running train. Magarasi hails daughter-in-laws of a household. It’s a fun filled entertainer with twists and turns,” Rajkumar vouches.
While Divya plays the lead, Praveena portrays a crucial role. Actress Ashwini Nambiar, a Bharathiraja discovery, makes her television debut and essays a negative role. Bankrolled by Anuradha and Satish, it will be on air on Sun TV.
