At the film's audio launch event, ace actor-filmmaker Bhagyaraj spoke about the mistakes he made at the beginning of his career.
Kranthi, a product of the Film Institute, is a well-known name in the short film circuit. Now, he is making a foray into tinsel town with his first feature film Santhoshathil Kalavaram, which predominantly stars newcomers like Niranth, Rahul C. Kalyan, Aaryan, Rudra, Gauthami, and Soujanya. At the film’s audio launch event, ace actor-filmmaker Bhagyaraj spoke about the mistakes he made at the beginning of his career.
“There’s no success without hurdles. 16 Vayadhinile was my guru Bharathiraja’s debut film and my first as an assistant director. The first schedule was to be shot over a period of a month in Mysore. The entire team was camped at Bengaluru, and just as we were preparing to leave for the set, we got a message that the shooting had been called off! Imagine the kind of turmoil we went through. However, the film turned out to be a smash hit.
Later, when I was making Suvar Illadha Chittthirangal, on the mahurat day, a close friend of mine fell seriously ill after eating the biryani served. There was a huge commotion, and we couldn’t begin the shoot. So, everyone faces problems. It’s how you overcome them and attain success that is important. At the end of the day, if the content is good, the film will run,” he said.
