The Superstar’s \'humility\' is acknowledged by film-makers

Vadivelu is open to the idea of becoming chief minister himself though.

Ace Bharathiraja is a good friend of Rajinikanth and recently he expressed himself against the Superstar becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, stating that only a Tamilian should rule Tamil Nadu.

But now, after Rajinikanth has clarified that he had never aspired to the chief minister’s chair, the 16 Vayadhinile director has praised him for his humility, which he says sets him apart.

“I feel his principles are geared to the welfare of Tamil and the Tamil people and are far ahead of the contemporary thinking of the political class. I see Rajinikanth as a human being who wants to turn the first page of his political career.  I wholeheartedly welcome the schemes.”

Yet another celebrity, Vadivleu, has reacted positively to Rajini’s announcement. Responding to mediapersons who spotted him at the Tiruchendur temple, he said “Neither I, nor the press nor Rajini himself know whether or when he will start a party. I welcome his dual leadership idea.”

With customary humour, he said he had ambitions of becoming the chief minister himself, and asked the gathering whether they would vote for him. When the crowd cheered, the actor shouted, “I will be the CM in 2021.”
