Barnesh, the co-director of Ranjith’s for films like Attakatthi and Madras has turned director for the first time with the movie titled Otthaiku Otthai. He has roped in Atharva as the lead in the film. Speaking to DC, Barnesh says, “Atharvaa plays a UG student and the movie revolves around two students and their ego clash. Like any other film set in the backdrop of a college, the film has commercial elements like love, friendship, and  humor. The film is inspired from my real life incidents.”

The debut director says that Atharvaa has undergone an image makeover for the film  — “He has shed a few kilos and he sports a new hairstyle. You will see an all new Atharvaa.”

The makers are still scouting for a popular heroine like Sri Divya to play opposite Atharvaa. “In the film, the heroine belongs to a Christian community. I need someone who suits the role,” he adds.

While  actor/filmmaker Thyagarajan essays a crucial role, Anjathe Narain has been brought on board for a vital character.  Bankrolled by Dinesh Karthik, Justin Prabhakaran  is composing the tracks and Ramalingam  will crank the camera.
