Vijay Sethupathi’s Kavan and Vikram Vedha were among the most profitable ventures which also received critical acclaim in recent times. As the actor gets ready for the third release of this year with his long-pending Puriyadha Pudhir, we hear that his upcoming film Karuppan is also joining the September-release bandwagon.

Speaking to DC, director Paneer Selvam says, “We have completed the dubbing yesterday and we are planning to release the film in the first week of September. Looking at the output, we are confident that Karuppan would receive positive feedback.”

The film’s first-look poster which featured Vijay Sethupathi taming a bull was in the news for wrong reasons. But, that did not deter them and the makers have decided to go ahead with the post production work.  A confident Paneer Selvam reveals, “Audiences can see Vijay Sethupathi’s new dimension through this flick. As reported earlier, Bobby Simhaa plays the villain and his performance will take everyone by surprise. He has portrayed the character with ease.”

Produced by AM Ratnam, the film has Tanya Ravichandran of Brindavanam fame playing the female lead alongside Kishore, Kaveri, Pasupathy and Sharath Lohitashwa in supporting roles.
