We recently confirmed that Aishwarya Rajesh has been roped in for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer film. Now, to everyone’s surprise, actor STR, whose latest film, Anbanavan Adangathavan Asaradhavan turned out to be a damp squib, has been signed on for the film.

Though there has been no official statement from either the director or the actor, a source in the know has confirmed that the Manmadhan actor is indeed part of Mani’s next.

“It is being said that STR will be playing one of the four main protagonists in the film. The shooting dates and other details are not confirmed,” says the source.
In addition, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari (who has also worked in Kaatru Veliyidai), Vijay Sethupathi, Nani and Fahadh Faasil are also part of the project.

The source further adds that the film will be a thriller, with four male protagonists and Mani is attempting something unique, which will be different from all his previous projects.

However, there are rumours that state that STR will be the lead hero and Vijay Sethupathi and others will be playing pivotal roles. Whatsoever, it would be interesting to see these good talents acting in the direction of Tamil’s most noted filmmaker.   With the amount of star power the film already has, it makes us wonder what kind of movie the veteran director is going to helm!
