Shriya Saran is not STR's mom in AAA

Over the course of past few days, there were rumours circulating that Shriya Saran would be playing the role of Silambarasan’s mother in Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (AAA). This came as an unexpected surprise to fans of both stars. To clarify on this rumour, we got in touch with the film’s director Adhik Ravichandran.
Apart from rubbishing the rumours, the Trisha Illana Nayanthara director went on to say that Shriya’s role will be emotion-driven — “I don’t know from where these reports surfaced. Shriya is playing the love interest of one of the roles played by STR. Their love track will be intense and emotional.” The movie also marks the association of STR-Yuvan Shankar Raja duo after a gap of five years.
AAA’s shooting commenced a couple of days back with an official pooja. Currently, retro portions featuring STR and Mahat are being shot. On the shoot’s first day, the entire team of AAA were overwhelmed after seeing STR’s performance. Director Adhik Ravichandran wrote, “Thanks for all ur love n wishes.Whole crew clapped seeing @iam_str s performance.thank u anna&my producer Rayappan sir #AAAShootWentSirappu” (sic).
