Nawazuddin Siddiqui not part of Rajinikanth movie

There was heavy speculation that Karthik Subbaraj, who is teaming up with Rajinikanth for a mammoth production, had roped in B’town powerhouse performer Nawazauddin Siddiqui, (who gained popularity by playing roles with grey shades in films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Kick etc.) as the powerful antagonist to the Superstar. Nawazauddin was seen last year in the Tamil version of Sridevi’s Mom.

Nawazauddin’s manager has refuted the rumours, saying  if they were true it would be great, but no, nothing like this is happening.

One may recall earlier reports suggesting versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi, who would accept a role, whether small or big, if it fascinates him, but they too fizzled out.  

Karthik revealed that there are many prominent characters and he is still on the lookout for the casting. Anirudh Ravichander collaborates with Rajini for the first time in this film.
