Even as her fantasy thriller Ticket in Tamil and English is gearing up for release, Sanam Shetty has moved on to a revenge thriller directed by Arjun Kalaivan, a former assistant of Mysshkin. The film has Michael of Burma fame as the lead guy.

Talking to DC, Sanam says, “I play a middle class girl who helps the hero in his mission. Though a thriller, there’s a cute and meaningful romance in the film. It is a very beautiful character.”

With the digital revolution setting in, many actors are jumping on the bandwagon and are keen to be part of web series. Sanam Shetty is no different. The actress is presently playing the lead in a web series produced by actress Kutty Padmini. “It’s a gangster story and I play a doctor. It is a layered character and challenging role as well,” Sanam claims. She is also part of yet another web series where she essays actor Nandha’s pair.

Won’t accepting web series hamper her film chances, we ask. “See, today, content is king and so many new avenues have opened up. I don’t differentiate between a film and web series, as I put in the same kind of effort and time for both. I am happy in both zones.”
