Aparna Balamurali roped in as Suriya’s pair
It is well-known that Sudha is the one who makes apt choices for her lead characters.
Aparna Balamurali is only two films old and she has bagged the role of the lead lady in Suriya’s next, directed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame. The film went on floors recently with the entire Suriya family in attendance. The movie, tentatively titled Suriya 38, is based on the life of businessman GR Gopinath, the founder of low-cost airline Air Deccan. The buzz is that Aparna bears a close resemblance to Gopinath’s wife Bhargavi and hence Sudha has cast her in the film. But there’s no official confirmation of this.
It is well-known that Sudha is the one who makes apt choices for her lead characters. When DC contacted Sudha, the filmmaker said, “Aparna is a brilliant actress and she suits the role completely.”
Bankrolled by Suriya’s 2D entertainment along with the Oscar winning producer Guneet Monga, the film has GV Prakash teaming up with Suriya for music. GVP tweeted that Thaikudam Bridge, a popular band from Kerala, have collaborated and performed a rock number for the film. Niketh Bommireddy is behind the camera.
