Kamal Haasan to bankroll Rajini’s last film?

Speculation that Rajini might join hands with actor turned politician Kamal Haasan in the political arena have been making the rounds ever since the stars spoke openly about their union at an event. Both said, “For the benefit of the people of Tamil Nadu, we can take this journey together.”

The latest in this collaboration between super stars should excite their massive fan following.  If close sources are to be believed, Rajinikanth will be collaborating with the latest sensation Lokesh Kanagaraj of Kaidhi fame in a big budget film to be bankrolled by Kamal's home banner Raajkamal Films International. Looks like the latter may also appear in a cameo in the film.

Inside sources reveal that Lokesh Kanagaraj met Rajini at his Poes Garden residence recently and narrated a line to him. It seems Rajini was so impressed as to give it his nod. The buzz is this will be Rajini's last film before he plunges full time into politics. The Darbar star is currently working on a film with director Siva, tentatively titled Thalaivar 168.

The legends last came together on screen in the 1979 movie Ninaithale Inikkum, directed by their mentor K.Balachander.
