It is a known fact that, Nivin Pauly has many fan followers in K’town as much as in Kerala. It was with his friend Alphonse Puthren’s debut directorial venture — Neram, that the actor entered the Tamil film industry. Though he did not become part of any Kollywood films after that, his Malayalam films could find a good market in Tamil Nadu, especially in Chennai. Premam, which was one of the top grossers in 2015, had housefull shows for around 250 days in a Chennai theatre!
The latest news is that Nivin, who has signed to essay the lead role in debutant filmmaker Gautham’s Tamil film, has got another call from Kollywood. The buzz is that he is all set to team up with Atlee, who wielded the megaphone for Vijay-starrer Theri and Arya’s Raja Rani.

When quizzed about this, Atlee says, “Yes, I am planning a project with Nivin in the lead role. But I will be in the role of producer, not director. We are currently discussing the subject. Once we zero in on the final draft of screenplay, I will reveal more details regarding this project, including the director’s name. As of now my production house is funding a film titled Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae with Jiiva sir in the lead role.”

Atlee says, as a huge fan of Nivin, he is very much excited to work with the Premam actor. “More than my friend, he is one of my favourite actors,” says the director who is busy scripting his next film with Vijay.
