Vetri’s next a social commercial thriller

Vetri, who gave back-to-back hits in 8 Thottakkal and Jiivi has signed his next with a newcomer Guru Ramanujam, a former associate of Sathya Siva of Kazhugu fame. The untitled film is a commercial thriller with a message and has Diya Mayurika, a newcomer from Malayalam as the female lead.

Actor Maarimuthu will be seen in a key character and Ramachandra Raju, the menacing villain of KGF has been roped in to play the main baddie. Murugesh Babu, whose strong dialogues were the mainstay in the national award winning film Joker, directed by Raju Murugan, has also been brought on board for dialogues.  Bankrolled by Parthasarathy, the film went on floors with ace Bhagyaraj giving the first clap.
