Arun Vijay once again takes cop avatar

His role may have been a small one in Saaho, even so, Arun Vijay was appreciated for his stylish performance. The actor is thrilled now to have bagged yet another intense role in a film directed by Kumaravelan of Haridas fame. He will be sporting a cop’s role for the second time after Kuttram 23.

Ask him how different is the cop’s role and he says, “K23 was a medical thriller. This is a crime thriller with a topical subject. It is the need of the hour. I can’t reveal much at this point of time, “he said with a smile and added, “When Kumaravelan narrated the script, I felt this will be right film after Mafia. It is a connecting script and audiences would relate to it.”

The method actor that he is, what preparation does he undergo, “We have regular reading sessions and even taking all attempts to get my look different. He is not the usual hardcore cop that you normally see. He is simple and normal gut but sharp and intelligent. As far as method acting, I would say that it is more of my habit of doing one film at a time. I don’t swap between films. Of course, kudos to those actors who do multiple films at a time! This gives me more scope to focus on the subject and my role and also understand the director’s vision and perform better.”
