“Tamil cinema has always been hailed by Malaysian Tamilians and they are one of our biggest strengths. They make good Tamil films and I request them not to ape Tamil movies made here and bring out content that would reflect their life and culture,” remarked ace Nasser at the audio launch of the Tamil movie Vedigundu Pasanga made completely by Malaysian cast and crew. The movie has the top Malaysian pair of Dinesh and Sangeetha with lady filmmaker Dr Vimala Perumal wielding the megaphone. Popular composers duo Vivek- Mervin has scored the music.

Talking on the occasion, director Vimala said, “This is my trilogy in Pasangaseries. I did Vilayattau Pasanga and Vetti Pasanga earlier, which talked about the importance of education and unemployment problem among Malaysian Tamils. This one deals with how they get tangled in criminal activities because of their lack of education. Vedigundu…is a crime subject about chain snatching and roadside robbery. It has a social message, but I have narrated it lacing with romance and comedy. It is my dream to release my film in Tamil Nadu which has come true now, Thanks to my producer Janani Balu who made it possible.” Bhagyaraj was also present on the occasion.
