Vijay Antony, often criticised for not being a good dancer, grooved with his heroine Ashima Narwal in Salsa style on stage for the song ‘Kollathey’ while promoting his upcoming thriller Kolaigaran in Tamil and Killer in Telugu at Hyderabad. The video is going viral on social media platforms.

Ashima says she is excited about her Tamil debut and hopes Antony would fetch her more film chances as it was the latter who recommended her for the film. “I hope Vijay Antony would keep up his promise.”

Heaping praises on the director Andrew Louis, she says, “The film has shaped up well. Andrew goes to every possible extent and works meticulously to get what he had envisioned. It was an enriching experience working in the film, thanks to Andrew and his team. I have become a much better actor having worked in Kolaigaran, and one day

I would be closer to my dreams of becoming like legendary Savithri garu.”

Sharing his experiences shooting for ‘Kollathey’ song in the Abu Dhabi desert, Antony said, “It’s an intense romantic number. For the first time, I am acting in close romantic scenes with a heroine and that is Ashima Narwal. When Andrew said we are going to Abu Dhabi for canning the song, I was prepared for extremes of weather. But, least did I expect that we would be hit by a sandstorm right at the start of the shoot.”

Despite the heat, we somehow proceeded with the shoot as we had only specific hours of permission every day, he adds. “I was finding it difficult to keep the eyes open from the flying sand.

Andrew did notice, but finally decided to use those portions, to make it as if I am closing my eyes in deep love. However, Ashima was very cool and unperturbed by the storm and did her part effortlessly,” Antony said.
