On listening to her mellifluous voice, producer Nilgiris Murugan wanted to try both the melodies with Aishwarya, he reveals

Aishwarya, Kollywood’s youngest woman producer, who co-produced Yennai Arindhal, Vedalam and the recent Karuppan, is happy with her new avatar. The daughter-in-law of ace producer AM Ratnam and wife of director Jyothi Krishna has turned playback singer with a Tamil movie Koothan. In fact, it was Jyothi, who was instrumental in bringing Aishwarya’s talents to the film world. The director, in an earlier interview, said that Aishwarya has a good voice and when he tested her voice, he liked it and made her sing in his Telugu directorial venture Oxygen.

Back in Tamil, Balz_G, composer of Koothan says, “Aishwarya is really passionate about her singing and she is so fast in picking up the melodies. We recorded a peppy dance number with actress Ramya Nambeesan — and were searching for a new promising voice for the duet songs and were auditioning many. Then we got to know about Aishwarya through a friend.”

On listening to her mellifluous voice, producer Nilgiris Murugan wanted to try both the melodies with Aishwarya, he reveals. The film directed by Venky has debutant Rajkumar as the hero.
