If he was a soft-hearted local gangster  in Vikram Vedha, Vijay Sethupathi turns into a stylish don in Gokul-directed Junga, a film which is touted to be the costliest production in the actor’s career. Though some of the producers came forward to bankroll the '20 crore budget flick, Sethupathi took the decision of producing it on his own.

Speaking about how everything started, Gokul says, “After we completed Idharkkuthaane Aasai Pattai Balakumara, Vijay Sethupathi sir had expressed his interest to collaborate with me again. I told him that I would approach him with a suitable script. When Junga’s script got ready, I narrated the story. After a few minutes of silence, he said he would himself produce the flick since the budget crossed more than '20 crore as budget! Sethupathi knows that the project involves a huge sum and didn’t want to put other producers under the knife. He said he’d come forward to produce it, so that the film becomes his responsibility.”

He adds, “60 percent of the shoot will take place in France, while the rest of it will be shot in Chennai, Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram, etc. Sayyeshaa is paired opposite him. The combination of  Yogi Babu and Sethupathi which rocked in Aandavan Kattalai is repeated here as well. Hope they create the same magic.”
Close sources divulge that Sethu will be portraying  an international don in the movie!
