Sudeep’s Pailwaan is a multilingual

Since sports are a universal emotion and Sudeep has pan-Indian appeal, I am producing the film in various languages, Krishna tells DC.

After Kannada actor Yash hit gold by releasing his film KGF in multiple languages, yet another star Sudeep's movie titled Pailwaan is being made in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Popular cinematographer turned Kannada filmmaker Krishna of Mungaru Male fame directs the film.

 “Pailwaan is a film on boxing and wrestling. It is about a sportsman's personal journey. He was a winner. At a time he hits a low and what happens when he gets a second chance. Since sports are a universal emotion and Sudeep has pan-Indian appeal, I am producing the film in various languages,” Krishna tells DC.

 We have seen several films on boxing and we ask how different this if from the others. “True! The genre may be same, but how the underlying story is narrated makes all the difference,” he asserts. Noted Hollywood stunt choreographer Larnell Stovell, who worked in sports films like Warrior, does the action choreography for Pailwaan. Sunil Shetty, Aakanksha Singh, Sushant Singh are the others in the cast.
