Veterans honoured at Sivaji birth anniv

Veterans from the film industry were honoured on the occasion of thespian Sivaji Ganesan 9st birth anniversary on October 1. Yesteryear heroines BS Saroja, Rajshree, actor ARS, cinematographer Babu and director Vijay Krishnaraj were honoured with Dr. Sivaji Ganesan Awards with Dr.Pratap Reddy of Apollo Hospitals presenting them. Sivaji Ganesan fan club members were also felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Sivaji’s younger son and actor Prabhu said, “My elder brothers Rajini, Kamal and younger brothers Ajith and Vijay are all in awe of watching appa’s classic Vasantha Malaigai, now digitally restored and running successfully in theatres. We started this ‘Sivai Prabhu Trust’ on request from our family friend ace singer Lata Mangeshkar ji who shared a close bond with my late dad.
