Filmmaker Prabhu Solomon, who's currently shooting the sequel to his blockbuster film Kumki, has chosen the Shivasamudram Falls near Mysore as one his shoot locations. Apparently, the same location was used by the legendary MGR for his 1975 film Idhayakani.

“A Tamil movie is being shot here after almost 43 years. The script demanded such a scenic location,” Solomon says.

Kumki 2 features newbie Madhiyazhagan in the lead, and an elephant called Unnikrishnan playing the titular role. Though the director claims that he is still on the lookout for a leading lady, rumour has it that Nivetha Pethuraj is being considered for the role.
