Shruti Haasan, who did not have a single release in 2018 as she was busy with her stage shows and hosting a TV show, has been roped in for a Tamil movie now. If sources close to her are to be believed, the actress will be seen romancing Vijay Sethupathi in a movie directed by national award winner SP Jananathan. This would be Jana’s second flick with VSP, their earlier collaboration Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai having been critically acclaimed.
Jananathan is known for hard-hitting themes and VSP for experimenting with the characters he portrays. One can expect something new from the duo. Also, Jana’s heroines will have a lot of bearing on the script, irrespective of the role being small or big. Sources say the director is expected to extract the best from Shruti.
Sethupathi is busy with several films lined up for release including Super Deluxe, Maamanithan and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
