Allu Arjun gives green signal to Lingusamy's Tamil action-romance?
Though the director was facing a financial crunch, he is all set to return with renewed vigour.
Filmmaker-producer Lingusamy is back in a cheerful mood, and returns with a bang thanks to the super success of his last offering Rajini Murugan. Though the Paiyaa director was facing a financial crunch due to some of his earlier produced films being box office disasters, he now returns with renewed vigour. The buzz is that this time around, he will restrict himself only to directing, and is bringing Tollywood star Allu Arjun to the Tamil screen.
When we contacted Lingusamy’s office, a close aide confirmed the news, and revealed that it will be a bilingual, made in Telugu as well. Disclosing more, the source said, “It is an action-romance and Lingusamy has planned to make it slick and stylish. In fact, Allu Arjun gave his immediate nod because he was impressed with the inspiring script. All other details including the heroine, are being worked out.”
Apparently, Allu’s Tamil-dubbed films get a rousing response in K’town. In an earlier interview with this newspaper, the Race Gurram star has said that since he was born and brought up in Chennai and is familiar with namma ooru baashai, he was keen to do a straight Tamil film!
