Mahendran in a comedy caper

Though Mahendran (child artiste turned hero who has worked in more than 100 films) is a talented actor, he is yet to get the right break as a hero. He has now signed a full-fledged comedy film titled Idhukkuthaan Appavey Sonnaen directed by AR Shiva and he is hoping the film would break the jinx.   

Set in a rural milieu, Mahendran is a jobless youth who spends all his time in the company of his friends and they would invariably get into problems with their deeds.  What happens when he has to face a challenge from his uncle forms the rest. “It’s a fun filled entertainer and I have brought on board a whole lot of comedy actors,” says Shiva. Naan Kadavul Rajhnedran, Imman Annachi, Crane Manohar, Moorthy, Ramadoss, Nellai Shiva, Muthukalai form the supporting cast. New girl Divya essays the female lead.
