Life of Saint Thomas on Celluloid

Filming will begin in 2018 with a mix of Indian and international cast and crew.

The prestigious production company, Sivaji Productions, is joining hands with a USA production studio for the production of a Hollywood film, tracing the life of St. Thomas, one of Christ’s 12 apostles who travelled to India. Sivaji Productions will facilitate and provide production services for California based Dharlin Entertainment, on the film titled as Commissioned. Apostle Thomas travelled to India in 52 AD and was killed in Chennai, at present day St Thomas Mount.

The film will follow the story of Apostle Thomas and his travel to India. Preliminary work has begun and the filming is planned for early 2018 with a healthy mix of Indian and international cast and crew. Locations in Kerala, Chennai and Sri Lanka are being considered for this film. Sivaji Productions, managed by Prabhu and Ramkumar, which has produced films like Chandramukhi last produced Aasal, which released in 2010. There were a few rumours doing the rounds that the company may produce actor Vijay’s next film, but there hasn’t been anything concrete about it yet.
