John Wick is back,but now in his Solo Game

Saber Interactive, in collaboration with Lionsgate and Chad Stahelski, the creator and main director behind the John Wick Franchise, are now officially working on this game.

What excited fans the most, was Keanu Reeves return in his John Wick avatar once more. In the movie franchise, in the film, John Wick: Chapter 4, the character of John Wick dies fighting his final legendary battle. But now, we see John Wick back as a leading character, in the new upcoming video game, played by none other than, Keanu Reeves.

According to Sony, the new game would feature an original script, set in the world of John wick. According to them, “"expanding on the franchise’s intricate lore with familiar characters fans already know, as well as completely new ones." In the announcement video, we clearly see multiple action sequences taking place, similarly choreographed to the ones in the movies. But, what makes it even more exciting for the fans, is that, this time they get to be in the shoes of their favourite character and fight like John wick himself.

The John Wick movie series has always said to have a video –game like feel to it, as it involves our protagonist seeking vengeance and having multiple quests and hurdles in order to achieve his goals. John wick, sets out to destroy the organization “High table”, in order to achieve that he goes to any extent. Just like modern day games, in the franchise, the protagonists are often assigned with multiple side quests, making the universe extremely random and unpredictable.

The game is expected to be in the third-person action format, giving the limited gameplay we saw in the announcement trailer. However, we can also expect some first-person elements or a first-person interaction experience. Chad Stahelski (John Wick director and franchise visionary), Keanu Reeves, and Lionsgate are on the forefront to produce this highly anticipated, adrenaline-fueled experience that fits into the world of John Wick. This game takes place during a specific period within the John Wick timeline and contributes to the expansive and rich lore of the franchise. It also marks comeback of Keanu Reeves in the gaming world, after Cyberpunk 2047.

This announcement has created waves all across social media, uniting both fans of John wick and gamers. It’ll be interesting to see what world Chad Stahelski has created this time and how the character of John Wick will make his comeback, this time through the world of gaming.
