Jana Nayagan’s January Release Is Almost Ruled Out

The next expected court hearing for orders in the Jana Nayagan court case is January 27. As courts are closed on January 26 for Republic Day, and no listing occurred earlier in the week, an early hearing is out of the question.

This effectively rules out any January release, shifting hopes to a possible February 2026 release. That is, only if the court rules favorably soon.

The producers (KVN Productions) have removed the scenes which were objected to by the censor board. “Now the board wants to re-introduce the deleted scenes, submit the movie as it was before and then delete the same scenes. It is an empty exercise," senior advocate Sathish Parasaran, who appeared for KVN Productions, recently told the court.

Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and co-stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju.
