IMDb celebrates The Most Popular Indian Titles of 2025 with Custom Awards

IMDb (www.imdb.com), the world’s most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities, announced the 10 Indian movies and 10 series that were the most popular with IMDb customers worldwide in 2025. IMDb year-end lists are based on the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide who rely on IMDb to discover and decide what to watch.

For the fourth year in a row, IMDb honoured the creators and producers of this year's 20 most popular titles with custom-made awards. Sharing their gratitude for the recognition, creators and stars of the titles took to social media.

Filmmaker Mohit Suri, celebrating Saiyaara as The Most Popular Indian Movie of 2025, exclaimed, “#1, Determined By Fans”

 Director Ashwath Marimurthu, director of Dragon said, “At the end, it all comes down to the audience and their choice! Thank you IMDb for putting Dragon right up there amongst The Top 10 Most Popular Indian Films of the year. It is a prestigious award for me and the entire team of the film. We owe this award to every single person who bought a ticket and supported our film.”

Dominic Arun, director of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, shared, “Thank you IMDb”

Meanwhile, director R.S. Prasanna who created Sitaare Zameen Par, mentioned, “Thank you IMDb for the love, so blessed to be featured in the Top 10 Directors of the year and also for Sitaare Zameen Par to be featured in Top 10 films.”

Along with this, Sun Pictures shared a picture of Coolie’s Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, writing, “#Coolie storms into IMDb’s Top 10 Most Popular Indian Movies!”

Kalyani Priyadarshan also shared her excitement for the win of Lokah Chapter: Chandra. She mentioned, Still processing this one. Honoured, grateful, and very happy to be holding this right now. Thank you @imdb_in #lokah”
