At age 14, Arnold found his passion for bodybuilding. He started lifting weights. By 21, he had won the Mr. Universe title and later won the Mr. Olympia Crown seven times. In 1966, he moved to the United States. That changed his life. He would go on to dominate both the fitness world and Hollywood.
Arnold’s breakout role came in 1982 with Conan the Barbarian, followed by iconic hits like The Terminator, Predator, Total Recall and True Lies. Forbes estimates he earned $500 million from acting alone. But acting is not the only reason Arnold became rich. He invested heavily in real estate, including stakes in Dimensional Fund Advisors, Easton Town Center in Ohio and the Waldorf Astoria in Los Angeles. Later, Arnold also became a politician.
