Even as Liam Hemsworth files for divorce, Miley Cyrus shows off new breakup tattoo onstage at the MTV VMA.
Miley Cyrus was certainly making a statement during her VMA performance. Seen in an LBD and wearing layers of jewellery, with her hair in an edgy wet style, Miley brandished her new tattoo on her left bicep, which read, “My head was feeling scared, but my heart was feeling free.” The tattoo, which was done by celebrity tattoo artist Winter Stone, is the lyric from the Pixies’ 1990-song The Thing.
According to People, the ink on her bicep was also inspired by her split from Liam Hemsworth, who’d filed for divorce from Miley on Wednesday citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Miley Cyrus, who performed her new breakup ballad Slide Away for the first time during Monday’s music award show, is apparently continuing to be very open about her emotional split from husband Liam Hemsworth, which came after less than one year of marriage. She’d also taken to Instagram to clarify that she’d not cheated on Liam.
