Morgan Freeman issues an apology

Eight women have accused Morgan Freeman of sexual misconduct, reports CNN.com. Tyra Martin, an entertainment producer at Chicago’s WGN-TV, said that she interviewed Freeman multiple times over the course of a decade and that he “always made sexually charged comments.”

Another woman, who worked as a senior member of the production staff on his film Now You See Me, allegedly accused Freeman of sexually harassing her female assistant multiple times.

Amid the controversy, Freeman has issued an apology. “I apologise to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent,” part of his statement read.
