Shortly after winning his first Academy Award for lead actor in Bohemian Rhapsody, actor Rami Malek slipped near the Oscars stage. The star did his best to hold on his Best Actor statue aloft. Hitting the ground, Malek looked surprised and was helped up by those around him, reports EOnline.com.

Paramedics appeared to rush to the actor’s aide, who was photographed seated in the front row with his Oscars statuette still in hand. Reportedly, Malek was then moved to a private area backstage, where he received further treatment for possible injuries. Misstep aside, Malek certainly enjoyed the evening thoroughly. During his acceptance speech, the actror, who portrayed late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the biopic, reflected on the importance of his win.
