Robert De Niro in Joker flick

Veteran actor Robert De Niro is in talks with the makers to join Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming Joker movie, reports JustJared.com. 

The 74-year-old, if roped in, will be playing a “talk-show host who plays a part in 
driving Phoenix’s character to go mad and become the Clown Prince of Crime,” according to Variety. 

The movie is said to be about the origin of Joker and how he becomes the notorious villain that he is.
