It seems to be the time for a fresh face for Genie in Alladin, and Will Smith seems to be in the talks to play the character in the new live action remake of the animated musical classic, which is being directed by Guy Ritchie. According to Deadline, this film would be Will’s first animated movie since A Shark’s Tale, that was released in 2004.

It was also reported that the actor was considering a role in the revamp of Dumbo that was being directed by Tim Burton, but had to walk away from the offer because of scheduling conflicts. The original voice of Genie, Robin Williams, still seems so deep-rooted in the hearts of the fans, so it remains to see what the reception would be like for Will Smith.
