Miley Cyrus and beau Liam Hemsworth may have lost their $2.5 million home to the California wildfire, but they are not backing out when it comes to helping the less fortunate. The couple has donated a whopping $500,000 to The Malibu Foundation, reports EOnline.com.
Miley’s rep released an official statement, revealing the news, “Their community and state are very special to them and they want to give back to the place that has created so many beautiful memories for themselves and others. They are donating $500,000 dollars to The Malibu Foundation through Miley’s charity, Happy Hippie in hopes to restore Malibu’s magic .”
According to the couple’s rep, the donation will be be “used for those in financial need, emergency relief assistance, community rebuilding, wildfire prevention and climate change resilience.”
