David Foster's daughters approve of Katharine McPhee

David Foster is getting engaged to Katharine McPhee, 34, and his daughters are absolutely thrilled, reports JustJared.com. Erin, 35, and Sara, 37, commented their approval on their dad’s Instagram photo in which he confirmed that he is going to marry Katharine.

Sara had, last year, opened up about her views on her father’s relationship with Katherine and said, “We approve of whoever is going to be good to my dad at the end of the day and we’re very honest about it. If we ever thought that anyone was in something for the wrong reasons, we would be very vocal about it. We just want someone that’s going to treat him well and that cares about him, and I think he’s with someone right now that really does.”

Meanwhile, younger sister Erin, who is a year older than David’s fiancée, commented “Mommmyyy (sic),” on the Instagram post. While Sara wrote, “Out of the country. What did I miss?”
