Nicky Minaj sued by artist

Nicky Minaj is being sued for copying t-shirt designs. According to TMZ.com, the rapper is being sued by an artist named Isiah Simon, who claims that he had originally come up with the design of the inverted heart which were printed on t-shirts, in 2015 on Valentines Day. 

Isiah’s designs had been printed on t-shirts that said I ‘Love Venice Beach’ while Nicky Minaj’s t-shirts have the same design with the words ‘I Love Nicki’. 

 In his lawsuit, Isiah says Nicki and Universal Music Group “brazenly” stole his design for her own merchandise. He now wants the sales to stop.
